Congrats Bend the Curve Hand Sanitzer Team for You Team Award for Excellence

This team didn't know why they had been gathered on this zoom meeting today, but as usual they all came together when asked and heard the good news that they had won a 2021 UA Team Award for Excellence.  This amazing team answered the presidents call to come together to support Arizona's tribal communities with crucial hand sanitizer for those without running water at a time when grocery stores could barely keep toilet paper on the shelves.  They hit the dollar stores for any bottles they could find and produced a quality hand sanitizer to distribute to tribal members for whom this was an essential need.  They even organized a department wide supply drive so they could include thousands of masks, gloves, and non perishable food items and my shipment to the native nations across Arizona.  This became our weekly ritual.  It took many hands to accomplish their task but the leadership, generosity, and resourcefulness of this incredible team unequivocally embodies the values of university.  Their award is well deserved and we congratulate them for all their hard work!  See their surprise patrol announcement here:  https://arizona.zoom.us/rec/share/WMSuwlYqCUvxrJJLFceiy7qUxJu0qNjPTvz4S7YflHTAY3oTuS4zoD_7yK4jsPao.8e1JrvZp6vICCpCz?startTime=1616797794000
