A Well Deserved Congratulations to Brian Berrellez for His 2021 Award for Excellence!

A meeting had been hastily called in CALS but Brian Berrellez, Director, Intelligence and Data Analytics, was told it was crucial he be there so he made sure to attend. When Jeff Ratje, Associate Vice President, Finance Admin Operations/Division of Ag Life and Vet Sciences-Coop Ext, said there was a special announcement to be made he was surprised it was about him. He had been chosen from the Best of the Best for a 2021 UA Award for Excellence! The committee members read just some of the wonderful things his nominators had to say about him: Brian has dedicated hundreds of hours on nights and weekends to the projects he has devoted to many colleges across campus. Many hours are given over to projects on inclusivity, professional development for staff, and making learning more impactful for students. Much of this is above and beyond doing his own job. He is a natural teacher and champion for work force diversity and equity. Brian advocates for practices that empowers employees including better employee performance management, employee inclusion in decision making at all levels, and equitable consideration of all viewpoints. Brian embodies the qualities of meritorious performance and service.
